Power to the people

In an era dominated by AI, where it’s trendy to let a computer dictate what to wear, who to date, what to like, or how to write, I choose to embrace my imperfect self—independent and unique. Creativity and individuality are essential in a world increasingly driven by algorithms and automation. Don’t get me wrong; I welcome technology as a valuable tool. However, I’m old-school, especially when it comes to references. Dino-dictionary included!

Embracing my Creative Chaos

Let’s begin by trying to stay on topic, though I often find myself zapping between topics You might say I'm all over the place, but I know exactly where everything is. First, a bit of background: I was born in Argentina over 50 years ago. I mainly speak Spanish, grasp a little French, and navigate my way around English. While my English might not be newspaper-level, I hope it makes sense as you read. I am a Graphic Designer on paper (literal carreer choice!) and a Creative Director of everything I encounter—yes, ev-ery-thing, by craft. I sound like a Bridezilla already!

The Magic of Childhood

I have two kids, technically newly adults, but in my world, still kids. Magic has been a part of their lives since they were born and still is. From Santa to “El Ratón Perez,” my favorite of all magical creatures! Sorry, Easter Bunny, I love you too, but having a rat guarding your teeth is just another level of magic. Do you understand how creative one has to be when a rat with a cape and sword takes your teeth with them? Especially when his counterpart in the US is a stunning fairy? Argentina serves creativity on a platter. This topic deserves its own blog post… We’ll get to it later. The point is, my kids had the most creative celebrations ever, sometimes on a budget, and they still remember each one. They grew up to be amazing humans, each pursuing their dreams, an actress and an archeologist, and thriving because they believe in themselves. I believe that the ability to dream led them to where they are today. If the sky is the limit, their sky is several galaxies away. “I am your father.” Sorry, I had to. Why are we talking about my kids? Oh, yes, magic.

Crafting Worlds of Imagination

I always used my creativity to recreate worlds for my children, keeping their dreams in mind. If princesses were in, they wanted a “Lazy Town” themed birthday party. Thank you, Sportacus*! And we had a zillion themes. Even though my work has always revolved around computers and the World Wide Web, I never had AI to tell me what trends to follow or what to do with magical creatures. If I did, I would have only asked for help with the cooking, literally, not figuratively.

The Heart of Timeless Impress

That creativity is now at the heart of Timeless Impress, a boutique atelier that makes dreams tangible through beautiful pieces of art that tell your story. I use technology for research, but I rely on my brain, heart, and soul to create each unique piece. Would you buy an AI version of Andy Warhol’s Campbell Soup Can or Lennon’s contribution to a new Beatles release? It hurts to even think about it. Power to the people who bust their butts thinking, creating, caring, doing. Not that I won’t ask my friend Adam Intel for some grammatical advice before posting this, but I will definitely run it by my kids first.

As we navigate this ever-evolving landscape shaped by technology, let’s remember the importance of embracing our unique stories and the creativity that defines us. At Timeless Impress, I strive to transform dreams into tangible art, celebrating the magic of individuality in every piece I create. So, let’s continue to explore the art of imagination, stay curious, and cherish the moments that make our lives extraordinary. After all, it’s our personal narratives that truly enrich the world around us.

Let's keep exploring the art of magic and paper together.

Dino dictionary:

Zapping: The art of quickly switching between tv channels during commercials, often with a remote control that, if it falls off the sofa, might damage your floor.

Zillion: An uncountable number many, many millions plus.
